Who we are

BMX Event Pro is operated by 426 Industries (ABN 51 542 681 543), Australia. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean 426 Industries and BMX Event Pro.

2

Information we collect

When you create or use an account, we may collect your name, email address, profile information, authentication details, profile image, notification preferences and device push-notification token. We also collect information you choose to submit, save or follow, including events, clubs, groups, coaching activity, volunteer activity and results.

3

Location and device information

If you allow it, the app may use your approximate device location to suggest a nearby Australian state. We do not need precise location to provide the core event-calendar service. The app may also process device and app information needed for authentication, notifications, security and troubleshooting.

4

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure BMX Event Pro, authenticate accounts, show events and results, save your preferences, deliver notifications and reminders, support groups and coaching features, process subscriptions, respond to support requests, prevent abuse and improve the service.

5

User-created and public information

Information you submit for events, clubs, groups, coaching or community features may be displayed to other users where the feature indicates that it is public or shared with members. Do not submit information that you do not want displayed in that context.

6

When we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the service: with infrastructure, authentication, notification, subscription and storage providers; with other users when you use a sharing feature; when required by law; or to protect users, the service and our legal rights. We do not sell personal information.

7

Service providers and overseas processing

Some service providers may process information on servers outside Australia. We require providers to handle information for the services they provide and apply reasonable contractual and technical safeguards.

8

Subscriptions and payments

Subscriptions and payments are processed through the relevant app store or payment provider. We receive information needed to provide entitlements and support subscriptions, but payment card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored by BMX Event Pro.

9

Notifications

If you grant notification permission, we use your device push token to send relevant event, reminder, group and account notifications. You can change notification permissions in your device settings and notification preferences in the app.

10

Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and enforce agreements. When an account is deleted, we remove the account data and associated data described on our account-deletion page, subject to information we must lawfully retain.

11

Account deletion and your choices

You can delete your account from Settings in the app. If you cannot access the app, use the Account Deletion page linked below to request deletion. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or information about our handling of your personal information.

12

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

13

Children

BMX Event Pro is not directed to children who are below the minimum age permitted to use the service under applicable law. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child has provided personal information improperly.

14

Third-party links

The app links to event registration, results, club, map and other third-party websites. Those websites have their own privacy policies and terms, and we are not responsible for their practices.

15

Australian privacy law

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and applicable Australian privacy requirements. You may complain to us about a privacy concern, and you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you are not satisfied with our response.

16

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. We will publish the current version on this page and update the date below.
